A brief history of WeDoCRM
-- 2020 --
WeDoCRM was founded in 2020 by Matthew and Emilie as a way of championing the art of CRM. But this was no whim project. Creating a CRM agency had been on their mind since way back in 2018.
That’s because Matthew and Emilie could see that, despite it being the biggest software market on the planet, it was surprisingly difficult to find support for CRM. At least from those who can genuinely claim to be CRM experts (it’s a little more complex than doing a spot of email marketing FYI).
That’s when the idea of WeDoCRM was born. To meet that demand and need with a pure-bred CRM agency.
So with Matthew’s experience in multi-channel marketing, strategy and automation, and Emilie’s technical expertise, they did what any sane individuals do in the middle of a pandemic – they started a new business.
WeDoCRM onboarded its first client, Leadership Success, in June 2020, and not long after, welcomed WorldFirst into the fold as well.
-- 2021 --
In a little over a year, Matthew and Emilie felt they were in a strong enough position to start expanding the team and build out the services we offer, including content marketing, MarTech migration, and website design.
Adding members of staff to the agency was a pivotal moment for WeDoCRM. Not only did this give us a multi-functional appeal (which landed us several new clients that year), but it meant we could begin to create a company culture and ethos that we could be proud of.
-- 2022 --
Our mission for 2022 was to become a certified agency partner of many leading CRM and ESP platforms. And we’re pretty happy to say our credentials now include Salesforce Marketing Cloud, HubSpot, Customer.io, Iterable, Pipedrive, and Klaviyo. Having such a wide expanse of certifications allows us to work with whatever system our clients deem the most effective. Our business model might be niche, but our experience with CRM and marketing platforms is truly wide ranging.
This was also the year we doubled in size as a company, with all our new recruits bringing their phenomenal skills and expertise to the team. To completely blow our own trumpet, attracting some of the top talent in the industry and giving our clients access to a host of services and disciplines of a dedicated team of specialists is one of our biggest agency accomplishments to date.
But it didn’t stop there for WeDoCRM in 2022. Having integrated our team into multiple businesses (from start-ups to enterprises) as though we were regular employees, we landed on the concept that defined our success and set us apart from other agencies – our insourced model. In a nutshell, we realised one of the biggest problems for heads of CRM was lack of resources. And we could fix that by offering businesses all the people power and specialisms of an agency, but with the flexibility and personal touch of an employee.
And ever since then, we’ve set out to redefine how agencies operate.
-- 2023 --
We’ve come a long way already, but we’re only just getting started.
With a clan of superstars at the helm, 2023 has been the year we’ve really begun to establish ourselves as a specialist CRM agency. We’ve been fortunate to have connected with some massive global brands who’ve eagerly embraced our insourced model and welcomed us as their trusted partner. This has led to some hugely rewarding work; everything from day-to-day CRM operations for our retainer clients, through to complex multi-platform data and migration projects.
And this September, we’ll be heading to the Technology for Marketing and eCommerce Expo for the first time to spread the word about our insourced agency model. We’re confident that our unique blend of specialist CRM knowledge and integrated working will strike a chord with brands. Especially the ones that are desperate for both the benefits of an employee working semi autonomously and the ability to plug any resource gaps across CRM strategy and operations, technical, and content.
So that’s us. And if you like the sound of what you’ve heard, come say hello. We’d love to connect.
